Did you know that in 2014 companies and organizations across multiple industries, lay down more dollars on online advertising than they did on TV ads? Business online is booming - thanks in part to the meteoric rise of the smartphone and e-retailers are helping themselves to an increasingly large chunk of our shopping budgets. Therefore it stands to reason that adware, or advertising supported software, is big business. And InnoApp is a great example of a typical adware that displays ads and opens to tabs without your permission.
So while the companies who use adware are only standing to cash in, and the people who actually develop the InnoApp are finding an ever increasing customer base for their product, and we, the consumer, are being shown advertising that is tailored to our needs or wants, why are so many people still complaining about adware?
The problem is that InnoApp is not just annoying and intrusive, thanks to its ubiquitous appearance on virtually every web page you look at, but it can have an effect on the way your computer works; it can slow down Internet connections speeds, cause programs to crash, change your tool bar and cause your processor to run slowly. And in a worst case scenario it can be downright dangerous too. Banner ads by InnoApp and pop up windows are now common tools used by hackers, fraudsters and cyber criminals to redirect your web searches, not to the advertised product, but to an undesirable or even infected website. They are also a tactic employed to allow these unscrupulous people to install truly malicious software on your computer.
If the any of the above sounds distinctly unappealing, as no doubt it does, it's time to regain control and start viewing InnoApp less as a necessary evil that is part and parcel of a free download or upgrade, and instead as something which can have an extremely undesirable knock on effect on your PC or other device.
Therefore if you are looking for ways to ensure your PC doesn't get infected by adware you need to stop downloading software from third party or dubious looking websites. You also need to stop installing programs without reading the license agreement: read the T's & C's carefully before hitting 'OK'.
Things you do need to do are to install - and run regularly - a reputable brand of anti-malware program. Make sure this program is up to date and has the latest patches installed too as this will give it the best possible fighting chance of defending your computer against the newer strains of adware - and by proxy, even nastier malware.
To remove InnoApp and stop annoying ads, please follow the steps in the removal guide below. If you have any questions, please leave a comment down below. Good luck and be safe online!
