If you've never really considered EnormouSales adware something to particularly worry about, it's high time you sat up and took notice of this somewhat under estimated malicious software, because trust us, if you've been infected by it you'll know about it! I know that you have heard of adware – after all who hasn't in this day and age? But do you know exactly what it is and why you should be taking steps to protect yourself from being infected by one of the nastier strains of advertising supported software?

Have I got you worried? Well I hate to be the bearers of bad news because you should be! EnormouSales really is a nasty piece of work – read on and we will explain why.

Understanding EnormouSales adware

To know how to protect yourself from Ads by EnormouSales, as with anything threatening, you need to know your enemy. So what exactly is adware? It is a software program that has been designed to display adverts on your screen when you're online. Very often the EnormouSales ads that you see feature products or services that you've been looking at very recently – maybe even that very day. How does adware know what you've been browsing? It installs a tracking component on your PC that monitors which web pages you look at, logs this data and then transmits it back to the adware's programmer or developer. This gives them the info they need to be able to customize which adverts you see. Take a quick look at some of the web pages you have open – see anything that looks familiar?

But not only do many people take umbrage with the fact that they are being spied on, the real problems start when you have been infected by a nasty type of adware which can cause havoc on your PC. Just take a look at this list below and then tell me you're still not concerned about this adware.

The effects of EnormouSales:
  • It can interact with other programs that are installed on your computer or device and cause problems with their operation. This is especially worrying when that program is your anti-virus software
  • It can hijack your tool bar browser, home page or search engine of choice and manipulate your searches so that you are sent to websites that the programmer wants you to visit instead of the one you typed into the search bar
  • EnormouSales ads can slow down your computer because the adware and its component are eating up valuable CPU power, memory and space
  • It can also cause websites to take ages to load and make them instantly crash once you do finally have them open – that's because the adware uses your internet connection to relay its findings about you back to the programmer
  • It can leave your machine open to breaches of security due to the issues it's causing with the other programs and, of course, your security software
As you can see, it's not just about intrusive adverts and pop-up windows that you see. It's a rather sophisticated piece of adware that can cause serious problems. If you don't know how to remove the adware from your computer and stop these annoying EnormouSales ads, please follow the steps in the removal guide below. If you have any questions, please leave a comment down below. Good luck and be safe online!
